Victorian Webster Company “L.W.R.” Engraved Sterling Silver Chatelaine Pencil Holder

Sterling silver Victorian chatelaine pencil case, complete with original A. W. Faber (pre-Faber and Castell era) pencil. Beautifully scripted hand engraved initials of L.W.R., perfectly functional and considering it’s over 125 years old, in excellent pre-loved and worn condition. Add it to your favorite guard chain for era appropriate styling or just as a charm, dangling off of a modern, updated necklace stack.

The Webster Company is a jewelry manufacturer based which began in 1894, in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, and is still in business to this day as a division of Reed and Barton.

  • Sterling silver pencil case, still contains original A. W. Faber pencil, hallmarked Sterling with a faint arrow and the letters CW, which was the silver mark used by the Webster Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, 1894-present (as a division of Reed and Barton)

  • 3.5” in length, including top ring

  • Just shy of .25” in width

  • 6.47 grams (weight includes pencil)
