This whimsical Owl letter opener will be happy to watch over you when placed at your desk, or peeking over your favorite novel, if you prefer to use it as a bookmark. Made by the famed Danish silversmith, Hugo Grün, this piece dates from the late 1940’s. Silver plating over nickel with a hammered texture on the “blade”, complete with chased texture and green glass eyes on the owl. Beautiful details, feels wonderful in the hand and is fully functional. Please note slight wear from use which has caused the plating to be worn away on the backside, at the bottom of the “blade”.
